

The Primary Care Course for Leaders in the Health Sector initiative, also known as APS Labs, was developed by the CCM Group in partnership with Hygeia Assessoria de Gestão de Saúde, cntxt, the National Association of Primary Care (NAPC), and NB Medical Education. With financial support from Unimed Federação/RS and SESCOOP/RS, the project constitutes an educational mission to London, United Kingdom, specifically aimed at Brazilian healthcare managers and leaders. In total, the project had 40 participants.


OBJECTIVES

Promote Primary Health Care (PHC) as the agent for generating a people-centered, quality and sustainable health model.


Offer a knowledge platform for leaders in Health Management to defend and implement best practices in PHC.
Provide opportunities for the organizational development of professionals and evidence-based PHC care models through continuous professional development.
EXPECTED LEARNING

Develop a broad understanding of Primary Care in the UK.

Understand how Primary Care is funded in the UK to ensure person-centred, accessible and quality care at the point of delivery.

Understand the makeup of a British Primary Care service, its emphasis on clinical quality and how different members of the team work together to deliver a comprehensive model of care.
