

2024 Edition
The In-Depth German Health Care System Learning Course initiative, an educational mission focused on health systems, was developed by the CCM Group in partnership with Hygeia Assessoria de Gestão de Saúde. With financial support from Unimed Federação/RS and SESCOOP/RS, the project constitutes an educational mission to Tübingen, Germany, specifically aimed at Brazilian healthcare managers and leaders. In total, the project involved 39 participants from Unimed and two representatives from SESCOOP/RS. The mission took place from October 14 to 18, 2024.
2025 Edition
The second edition of the mission to Germany is in partnership with the Santa Catarina Federation of Unimed and will take place from November 17 to 21, 2025. The delegation is expected to include more than 40 participants who will have an immersive experience of the German healthcare system. In addition to classes with local professors, the mission includes strategic visits to institutions that can illustrate the topics covered in class in practice. The initiative is supported by SESCOOP/SC.

OBJECTIVES




Promote Primary Health Care (PHC) as a strategy for generating a people-centered, high-quality and sustainable health model.
Understand the essential concepts and reality of the German Healthcare System, especially the contracting formats for healthcare providers and their respective services.
Offer a knowledge platform for leaders in Healthcare Management to defend and implement best practices for a quality and efficient healthcare system.
Offer opportunities for the organizational development of professionals and care models based on PHC and real evidence through continuous professional development.
EXPECTED LEARNING

Understand how the German Healthcare System is organized and the relationship between the different points of care in the care network.

Understand the use of technology and telemedicine in the German Healthcare System.

Understand the medical remuneration models in force in the German Healthcare System.

Understand how the German Healthcare System is financed and how the hiring of different providers is carried out.

Understand the clinical trajectory of people in the German Healthcare System and tools used to improve the care process.

Develop a broad understanding of the German Healthcare System.
